flumpool’s much-awaited new single “Distance” will be released on Wednesday, May 26th!

In addition to the new song “Distance,” the single also includes “Daijobu,” which is already released digitally, as well as “Freeze,” the opening theme song for the TV anime series “Seven Knights Revolution: Eiyu no Keishosha,” which is scheduled to start on April 4th!

“Distance” pre-order will start at noon on Monday, March 29th. Ahead of the pre-order, the members of flumpool will make a live appearance in “【flumpool】 is making a live appearance in the midst of their national tour! Niconico Live 24-hour Special Program” at 8 p.m. on Sunday, March 28th. flumpool’s new song “Daijobu” will be released on Friday, December 25th! This is the song that has been produced with lyrics and videos from the listeners as a song project in “FM802 Radio Fields” with DJ Ryuta Yamamura, broadcast every Saturday at 9 p.m.!
The song is produced by Ryuta Yamamura and a sound producer Koichi Tabo, the outstanding combo who has also produced the songs “NEW DAY DREAMER” and “Kunsho” in the latest album “Real”!
In addition, 38 ninth graders from the junior high school where Ryuta Yamamura’s mentor from his student-teacher days currently works volunteered to sing in the chorus recording!
The COVID-19 pandemic has taken away various opportunities from the students to perform in public, including school events like a choir competition. The pandemic is also making the students anxious about their future. The project stems from Ryuta Yamamura’s wish to do something for those students with music. Not only the voices of students, but also the voices of his radio listeners are recorded in the song. The song contains a message for everyone who listens to it in this time and age.

We are delighted to announce that “flumpool ‘FOR ROOTS’ ~Han Real~”, the live stream concert performed in the band’s hometown Osaka on Saturday, August 15th, will be available as a concert film!
It is not just another live performance film. Inserted in between songs are documentary footage of the band members visiting places related to them in their hometown Osaka. The film is studded with very flumpool-like presentations, and shows you how sincerely the band members deal with the COVID-19 pandemic!
“flumpool ‘FOR ROOTS’ ~Han Real~” is their first-ever live stream concert with the title ‘FOR ROOTS’, which is given to special concerts performed in their hometown Osaka. Interwoven with stage effects that would have only been possible with live streaming, the live performance segments are completely re-edited. Also, documentary footage of the show day is newly added to this deluxe edition.

We are excited to announce that flumpool will go on a Japan tour for the tenth time!
Starting from January 2020, it is already confirmed that the band’s songs are chosen as the theme song for a TV drama series as well as the opening theme for an anime TV series. A single will be released in February, and the band is working on ‘Real’, their first album in about four years and scheduled to be released next spring… In 2020, flumpool will launch another large-scale national tour for the tenth time since their debut!

The single will include a live recording of several songs from the “flumpool year-end concert ‘FOUR ROOTS’ ~Shiroten Fields Once More” (performed at Osaka-Jo Hall on December 30th, 2019), including ‘Subarashiki Uso’, the theme song for Nippon Television Network’s Wednesday drama series ‘Shiranakute Iikoto’ as well as ‘Never Mind’, the opening theme for an anime TV series ‘Ahiru no Sora’!

flumpool has been on a hiatus since December 2017 in order to allow Ryuta Yamamura to concentrate on his treatment of “functional dysphonia in singing”. Now that his condition is getting better, the band will resume their activities by performing on the street in their hometown Tennoji, Osaka at 1:00 pm today.

In line with this, we would like to take this opportunity to express our sincere apologies once again for any inconvenience and concern this may have caused to all fans and parties involved, and we are truly thankful for your warm support despite their long absence.
